United States Coast Guard Base Boston is located in the North End, Boston, Massachusetts. It is home to a number of cutters, USCGC Marlin, USCGC Pendant (WYTL-65608) and soon to host 6 new Fast Response Cutters, along with other small fleet units. The small boat station located on the base was re-opened in 2003 after being closed in 1996.

The Massachusetts Air National Guard (MA ANG) is the aerial militia of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States of America. It is a reserve of the United States Air Force and along with the Massachusetts Army National Guard , an element of the Massachusetts National Guard of the larger United States National Guard Bureau .
The Air Force Specialty Code for ABM is 13B and it officially became the USAF's fourth line officer aeronautical rating after pilots (AFSC 11XX), combat systems officers (AFSC 12XX, formerly known as navigators), and USAF astronauts (AFSC 13AX, nearly all of whom are previously aeronautically rated 11XXs or 12XXs) in 1999.
The 13th CSSB was formerly stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, and was a subordinate unit of the 3rd Sustainment Brigade. The battalion was deactivated in October 2011 at Ft Benning and reflagged from the former 80th Ordnance Battalion at Joint Base Lewis/McChord.
