Happy Valley Tea Estate is a tea garden in Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal.Established in 1854, it is Darjeeling's second oldest tea estate. Spread over 177 hectares (440 acres), it is situated at a height of 2,100 metres (6,900 ft) above sea level, 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north of Darjeeling, and employs more than 1500 people.

Since 2004, the term Darjeeling tea has been a registered geographical indication referring to products produced on certain estates within Darjeeling and Kalimpong.

[3] [7] Makaibari produces around one lakh kg tea annually. Darjeeling Tea is commanding an average price ranging from Rs. 970–1,050 per kg. Makaibari tea fetches around Rs. 3,000 per kg.
