Thief of Hearts is a 1984 American erotic drama film produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer. It was written and directed by Douglas Day Stewart . It stars Steven Bauer , Barbara Williams , John Getz and David Caruso .
"Love in the Shadows" was first recorded in 1984 for the soundtrack to the movie Thief of Hearts. In 1985, it was re-recorded for Daily's Wild Child debut album, and released as a single in 1986. The song was covered in 1987 by Canadian singer Celine Dion in French, titled "Délivre-moi".
