Faculty of Management Studies – University of Delhi (FMS Delhi or The Red Building of Dreams [2]) is a leading business school located in New Delhi, India. It was established in 1954 [ 3 ] under the umbrella of the University of Delhi and is often cited as one of the best business schools in India.

It offers two-year normal and executive Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) and Ph.D. degrees. It was established in 2009 when its parent institution, Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) was upgraded to a state university with the name Delhi Technological University (DTU) under Act 6 of 2009 by Government of NCT of Delhi
Since this is a niche business school batch intake is a very selective ~40 students which allows for a well-knit cohort, yet access to the huge infrastructure of the University of Delhi especially its South Campus where the Department is located. The program has tie-ups with various international universities and exchange programs in the past.
The Department of Financial Studies (DFS) is a department of the University of Delhi offering programs in finance. Tracing its roots in the Delhi School of Economics, the DFS was carved out of the Department of Commerce of the university in 1987 to provide training in the field of finance. The DFS is located at the South Campus of the university.
Formal partnerships were established with international business schools Wharton and Kellogg. [4] Pramath Sinha, then a junior partner at McKinsey in India, was persuaded to take a leave of absence to be the school's first dean. Rajat Gupta became the school's first chairman and was succeeded by Adi Godrej in 2011.
The school received equity investment from Citicorp Finance India Ltd at the time of inception in 2001 as a Citicorp Investee Institution. [2] The school offers post graduate Programs in Business Management. It was located on Sikandra Road in Lutyens Delhi for until 2008 after which the campus shifted to an independent building in Gurgaon.
