Xcalak (Spanish pronunciation:) is a village of 375 inhabitants [1] in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, Quintana Roo, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico. It is one of the last "unspoiled" stretches of the Mexican Caribbean located on the southern end of the Costa Maya .

Costa Maya is a small tourist region in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico, the only state bounded by the Caribbean Sea to its east.
Othón P. Blanco is one of the eleven subdivisions of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.It had a 2020 census population of 233,648 people. Its municipal seat is the city of Chetumal, which also serves as the state capital.
