The house, gardens and some of the lands were purchased by the Woodroofe family and these were later owned by a family named Anson. Two interesting memorials of Lismore are still preserved. The first is the Lismore Crozier, found accidentally in Lismore Castle in 1814, and now in the National Museum of Ireland.
