    forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/ebike-battery-safety-storage-and...

Safe Storage and Charing of Electric Bike Batteries at Home The very first thing I want to say is this: While it is true that lithium batteries, commonly used in ebikes today, can catch fire… it is VERY rare for them to do so, for several reasons. I suggest you are more likely to be injured by a falling coconut than to have a Lithium fire at ...

  3. Electric Bike Battery Repair & Repacking

In recent years, I have discovered a couple of good resources for getting help with refilling and repacking batteries for electric bikes, electric scooters, electric skateboards, hoverboards, neighborhood electric vehicles, and other products that use higher watt hour battery packs (often with Lithium-ion, Lithium-polymer, or Lithium iron ...

  4. Vilano Pulse Review - ElectricBikeReview.com

    electricbikereview.com/vilano/pulse

I purchased this bike on Amazon because the company that makes it, Vilano, had a few different models there and to me they looked good and offered value for the price (Lithium batteries and nice accessories for under $1k). Rather than going directly through the company, I felt like Amazon would help me with any shipping and warranty issues ...

  5. Flying with Electric Bike Batteries? Tips and Advice

    forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/flying-with-electric-bike-batteries-tips...

For those of you who would prefer to check the large, heavy battery of your electric bike, the FAA stipulates that the battery must be installed in the device but protected from accidental activation. Weighing in at ~18 pounds, the SLA pack is much heavier than other electric bike batteries I’ve tested but the additional weight serves to increase traction and “pushing power” through the wheel. With this basic pack you get about 10 miles of range and if you add a second pack in parallel it just about doubles.

Yes, I have run ebikes off my Ryobi tool batteries. Ryobi calls it a 40V battery, but in the ebike world, it's a 36V. Mine are acceptable for my smaller motors with 17A controllers, I believe my longest ride was almost 14 miles on the 2AH battery.

  9. Can I Trust DLG Batteries? - Electric Bike Forums

    forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/can-i-trust-dlg-batteries.33384

I've been researching several ebike manufacturers (e.g. Amigo, NCM) who use batteries assembled by DLG in China. I've read the best battery cells are produced by Samsung, LG, and Panasonic. I've also heard DLG uses cells from Samsung and Panasonic; however, I'm not certain I can trust that report.
