The glock feels like it has more recoil when compared to the Beretta. I love my Beretta but carry a glock because of the same issue. Grip angle us different and I have to really try to be accurate with my Beretta as I don't shoot it much. Tend to pull the shots on the Beretta if I don't practice with it.
I'm a fan of CZ 75s. On an occasion I ran an informal fun test all afternoon, pitting the CZ 75BD against the Glock 17 kept here. I like the CZ better for my purposes, but the Glock is fully capable. CZ target on left. Glock Target on right. Can't recall distance, but was probably 10 yards. Rapid fire, faster than I generally like to shoot.
Glock recoils more I have the Sig P226 in 9mm and also a Glock 19. When I fire them with the same ammo, the Glock has considerably more recoil than the Sig. I think this is due to the comparative weights of the two guns. According to the company websites, the Sig P226 weighs about 32 ounces empty, while the Glock 19 is about 22 ounces empty.
So I have a glock 17 and recently acquired a smith and wesson 6906. But, even the smith and wesson 6906 still prints alittle. Would the glock 19 be any better? How close in size are the 6906 and the glock 19? If anyone has both, can you post a picture comparing the grip lengths. Thats my main concern now, the grip length.
I like both of these pistols but, one of them has something over the other and I'm asking a general question to see what you guy's thoughts and opinions are on these Glocks.
As I mentioned in the video to me the advantage of the Glock 19 is it gives you the same length barrel as the XD with only one less round in a smaller package. I am aware of the sub-compact XD and for the same reason I would compare that to the Glock 26 or 27, not the 19. Again, the Glock would have same barrel length, but be smaller and lighter.
I am thinking of trading my 9mm glock 19 for a glock 19C (compensated ported barrel). I like the way the glock 19 handles and shoots. My shot groups are ok, but I'm always looking for that edge to improve. has anyone here shot both guns. I'd appreciate your thoughts on any differences experienced in shooting these two guns.
The Glock 19 is easier to carry than the P229 mainly due to the width, but a little lighter also. The Glock 17 is a bigger gun with a longer slide. I can shoot it faster since the DAK trigger is terrible and 9mm vs 40. All 3 are great guns and I would be fine with any of them for duty carry. If you are carrying concealed the 19/23 is a better ...
Re: Glock 17 19 26 Gen 3 magazines vs Gen 4 compatibility. Gen 3 or 4 9mm mags of any capacity work in any gen 3 9mm glock from my experience. I have a factory 33 rounder that has the ambi cuts and it works fine in my gen 3 G19 for example.
