Trinity Baptist College was founded in 1974. It was originally located on McDuff Avenue near downtown Jacksonville. In 1988, Trinity Baptist College expanded and moved to the west-side of Jacksonville. In 1998 the college was accredited by the Trans-national Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
The Bethel Church (formerly Bethel Baptist Institutional Church) is a historically-black Baptist megachurch in Jacksonville, Florida, in the United States. Founded in 1838, it is the city's oldest Baptist congregation. The attendance is 12,000 members. The senior pastor is Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick Jr.
This was destroyed along with most of downtown Jacksonville in the Great Fire of 1901. [2] The current building was designed in 1905 by architect M. H. Hubbard, also the designer of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church. Construction began in 1907 and completed on December 8, 1910, when the building was dedicated.
