Convoy RS 3 was a South Atlantic convoy from 22–31 March 1943 between Gibraltar and Freetown in Sierra Leone. The convoy was part of the Battle of the Atlantic in the Second World War . [ 1 ] The convoy lost its three biggest ships to U-boat attacks.
The standard armament consists of two 12.7-millimetre (0.5 in) heavy machine guns. This is supplemented by the two Stanflex modular mission payload slots (one on the foredeck, the other aft of the superstructure), which can be fitted with a multi-purpose gun, surface-to-air missiles, or ASW torpedoes, along with other non-weapon payloads.

Guide was a convict ship that transported six convicts from Calcutta, India to Fremantle, Western Australia in 1855. It arrived in Fremantle on 9 January 1855. The six convicts were all soldiers who had been convicted by court-martial and sentenced to transportation. In addition to the convicts, there were 16 passengers on board.
