In 2010, 3,300 hectares (33 km 2) of land in Kỳ Anh district was allocated to the development company (Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Co) by Hà Tĩnh province. Initially statements by the company estimated a $15 billion development cost to install 7.5 million tons pa steel capacity. [ 3 ]
