The Norwegian Biathlon Association (Norwegian: Norges Skiskytterforbund) (NSSF) was founded 10 December 1983 and is a Norwegian association for biathlon, and is a member of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports and the International Biathlon Union.

During the 2019 Biathlon World Championships in Östersund, Thingnes Bø won the sprint and three team-event gold medals, adding to his World Cup dominance. He set a record for most individual victories in a single World Cup season, with 16 wins, surpassing Martin Fourcade's record of 14.
Sivert Guttorm Bakken (born 18 July 1998) is a Norwegian biathlete.He won the overall mass start title at the 2021–22 Biathlon World Cup. [1] He also won his first world cup race the same year, in the 15 kilometer mass start in Oslo Holmenkollen, on 20 March 2022.
The first Biathlon World Championships (BWCH) was held in 1958, with individual and team contests for men. The original team event, Team (time), was held for the last time in 1965, to be replaced in 1966 by the team event, Relay (4 × 7.5 km), which we know today. The number of events has grown significantly over the years.
