Century III Mall was a large enclosed shopping mall located along Route 51 in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, about 10 miles southeast of downtown Pittsburgh. It operated from October 1979 until its closure in February 2019.

"The gradual decline of Century III Mall can be contributed to the development of the Waterfront in nearby Homestead, which opened in 1999 " This line seems to be a bit misleading. While The Waterfront did indeed hurt CIII, it's decline started in the mid-90's when poor overall maintenance started driving people away.
