Thebe Neruda Kgositsile [a] (born February 24, 1994), also known by his stage name Earl Sweatshirt, is a South African-American rapper and record producer.Kgositsile was originally known by the moniker Sly Tendencies when he began rapping in 2008, but changed his name when Tyler, the Creator invited him to join his alternative hip hop collective Odd Future in late 2009.
"Oldie" is the 18th and final track on the Odd Future album The OF Tape Vol. 2. The song features members Tyler, the Creator, Hodgy Beats, Left Brain, Mike G, Domo Genesis, Frank Ocean, Jasper Dolphin, and Earl Sweatshirt. [1] It was produced by Tyler, the Creator, and was released on March 20, 2012. [2]
Earl Sweatshirt released his first mixtape Kitchen Cutlery under the name of Sly Tendencies in 2008. He then joined Odd Future and released the mixtape Earl in 2010. In 2012 he came back as a rapper and was featured on Odd Future's single "Oldie".
