The 2023–24 TFF First League, officially known as Trendyol 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, [ 2 ] is the 23rd season since the league was established in 2001 and 61st season of the second-level football league of Turkey since its establishment in 1963–64.

A total of 21 teams contested the league, including eighteen sides from the 2019–20 season and three promoted from the 2019–20 TFF First League, including Hatayspor and BB Erzurumspor, as well as the winners of the 2019–20 TFF First League playoffs, Fatih Karagümrük. Hatayspor made its debut in the Süper Lig.

The 2020–21 TFF First League was the 20th season since the league was established in 2001 and 58th season of the second-level football league of Turkey since its establishment in 1963–64. There was no relegation to or from the TFF First League the prior year due to the coronavirus pandemic .
