A video camera with built-in microphones or line-in may not delay sound and video paths by the same amount. Solid-state video cameras (e.g. charge-coupled device (CCD) and CMOS image sensors) can delay the video signal by one or more frames. Audio and video signal processing circuitry exists with significant (and potentially non-constant ...
These processes are often used to match the pitches and tempos of two pre-recorded clips for mixing when the clips cannot be reperformed or resampled. Time stretching is often used to adjust radio commercials [1] and the audio of television advertisements [2] to fit exactly into the 30 or 60 seconds available. It can be used to conform longer ...

Alignment of beats in the beatmatching process. Beatmatching or pitch cue is a disc jockey technique of pitch shifting or time stretching an upcoming track to match its tempo to that of the currently playing track, and to adjust them such that the beats (and, usually, the bars) are synchronized—e.g. the kicks and snares in two house records hit at the same time when both records are played ...

What I worked out, was a bar sheet (or dope sheet), to indicate measures of music. It wasn't like a score, because it didn't have five barlines; it had a little square for each beat in each measure, and it had an indication of the tempo. The frames were in the beat of the music; so in twelve-frame, or sixteen-frame, or whatever.
The video encoding was done for entertainment applications and twelve different bitrates were made for the nine video test sequences with a HM-8.0 HEVC encoder being used. Of the nine video test sequences, five were at HD resolution, while four were at WVGA (800×480) resolution. The bit rate reductions for HEVC were determined based on PSNR ...
