Michael Robert Socha (born 1987) is an English actor. He is known for his roles in the films This Is England and Summer , and the television series This Is England '86 and its sequels. He also appeared in Being Human , Once Upon a Time in Wonderland , and the second series of the BBC One drama Showtrial .
Being Human cast (from left to right, Lenora Crichlow, Aidan Turner, Russell Tovey) and the series creator, Toby Whithouse. Series 1 is set in the English city of Bristol and introduces George Sands (a reluctant werewolf in his mid-twenties) and John Mitchell (a vampire with the appearance and behaviour of a young man in his mid-twenties who is over a hundred years old).
Michael Socha played Tom. When the creators introduced Tom as a recurring character, they were already suspecting, that Russell Tovey (George Sands) would leave the series at some point. Being Human was a show with a low budget and people responsible for other, bigger productions would notice the actors.

Damien Molony did a drama showcase in February 2011 when the casting director of Being Human made a visit. She offered Molony to read for the part of Hal. At the recall Molony first met Michael Socha. They both got along and three days later Molony got a call from his agent and was told that he got the part.
