I am a freshman at college in Brockport and since I cant bowhunt I'm itching to get out and do some fall bass fishing. I brought all my tackle up and a few baitcasters.
I am Fisherman from Baton Rouge, getting back into fishing. I grew up fishing from a boat and that is what I am used to. Currently I do not have access to a boat so bank fishing is my only option. Finding good fishing spots in this area has been a task. Thank you for making this post. P.S. Just hearing the word Sac-a-lait made me homesick
Recently, I started a job in Lexington, MA, and was curious if there were any decent fishing spots nearby to check out after work when the weather warms up. Locations with a good deal of shore access would be ideal. Thanks in advance for your help.
In fact go West on Atlantic from University, and make the first left into the housing development. All the way down is a park where you can fish that same canal. Other good canal is Atlantic just East of Coral Springs Dr. That canal runs from the C14 down around Coral Springs Park, and through a housing development.
Please tell me about these fishing sites. These are fishing spots I can get to easily. If you have other suggestions, you can add them later. If you could provide links to specific town regulations for each of these sites, that would help. I've tried many of the standard DEC, and local govt sites. But they didn't. help me much. Sandy River Reservior is another good place, too. Bear Creek is a little way out from Richmond but it is a beautiful place to see and fish. As Fly penned, there are many places to put in a kayak and have some good fishing. Now, it is time for you to start reading and watching videos about bass fishing so you can learn all you can.

These ponds are good through the end of spring. Have pulled a couple of 6# hogs out of it along with many in the 2-3 range.
There are many good tidal bass fishing spots near you or within a reasonable drive. The Nanticoke, Choptank, Pocomoke Rivers, and right in Salisbury's downtown location on the Wicomico River, and most of their tributaries are very good too, that can provide excellent largemouth bass opportunities.

Location Indiana. Posted February 11, 2009. I live in Terre Haute, have been to Raccoon up north and Mill Creek in Illinois, both of which would be hard to fish from shore. Sullivan is a nice lake, more shore fishing available but still not ideal. The parks are ok, I'd say Fowler has the best bass fishing from shore.
