I wasn’t offered the flu shot by my OB so I completely forgot about it (usually get it) and I think I just came down with the flu. Body aches, chills, temp just hit 100, sore throats, terrible cough, the whole 9. Should I be worried? I’m taking Tylenol & cough drops + salt water gargle, honey, lemon,...
During pregnancy, it is harder for a woman's immune system to fight infections. This makes a pregnant woman more likely to get the flu and other diseases. Pregnant women are more likely than nonpregnant women their age to become very ill if they get the flu. If you are pregnant, you need to take special steps to stay healthy during the flu season.
@awatters24, completely understand! I got the flu shot without realizing I was pregnant (I was around 3 weeks) and no matter what the doctors say, we have our own internal instincts and injecting ourself with a vaccine while pregnant stresses me out.
I’ll be 31 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I’m pretty sure I have the flu. I’ve felt off since Friday but yesterday was horrible, all night last night and now this morning.I’m not running a fever but here are my symptoms:-body aches and chills-extreme nausea-fatigue but so uncomfortable that I can’t sleep-stuffy...

I can’t keep down anything that touches my tongue. And these body aches… oh man. Someone please tell me that baby is probably safe in there. Also does anything help?

I have never gotten the flu shot so I refused it at my 16 week appointment. Afraid to get it for the first time ever while pregnant because I tend to spike fevers with vaccines and can't take Tylenol because it gives me heart palpitations. Was just wondering if anyone here has had the flu while pregnant...
I had the flu very early on. Like 5 weeks. It definitely knocked me a lot and I had quite a high fever. I was reluctant to take panadol/tylenol but my midwife said the fever was more dangerous to the baby than the drugs at that point.
I had the flu about 2 weeks ago for 2 weeks. I still have sinus congestion and it makes everything taste funny and hard to sleep. I did lots of lemon and honey tea, ginger tea, for sore throat and nausea.
