A cap and that hamton should be nowhere near the same price range. Solid ones work fine for me but I didn't buy a cap. I paid 180 bucks and mine wasn't wrapped in sticky tape with a crappy finish. The cap is definitely a returnable item. Thanks for the review hopefully people read this before ordering the cap.
Those are the plates. I think they must be new old stock at BFS and Wayfair probably has the new stock. At a $1.09 plus shipping they probably cost about as much as the premium wide flange Troy plates from Adamant Barbell.

Cap Barbell Stinger Olympic Bench; Results 1 to 10 of 10 Thread: Cap Barbell Stinger Olympic Bench. Thread ...
I've got a crappy CAP bar from one of 300lb sets. It's been fine for the lifts that I do (don't do any olympic lifts or anything), but over time it has become less and less usable. The end of the sleeve (large circle that prevents the plates from coming any farther onto the bar, collar?) on both ends began to slide bit by bit.
Remove the end cap snap ring using snap ring pliers: You can now slide the sleeve back towards the center of the bar, and are able to see the bushing at the end cap: The end cap slides off freely (you can see this is a well cared for bar, as there is plenty of 3in1 oil in the end cap): Here's a view with the end cap removed:
My post wasn't meant to disparage the CAP. The 0B-86B is like the Camry of oly bars. The 0B-86B is like the Camry of oly bars. Solid, reliable choice that'll last most folks for many years...but it's definitely lacking the "oooh-factor" of some of the more expensive brands.
cap bars aren't the best, most come with olympic sets from sporting goods stores. alot of people complain about them, but i've had one for about 6 years and it's still pretty decent with alot of use. i had 495 for a couple rack pulls on it about a week ago and it didn't bend.
$72.78 for the CAP is hard to pass but I don't know about their quality and if I will have problems using revolvers on them. The second one looks like the same CAP but with a higher price tag. Blackwidow a bit expensive, no knurling and has a lead time of two weeks. Okie's $199 without the shipping, I think it is a little too expensive for such ...
