Laura Alice Wright (née Sisk; born September 11, 1970) [1] is an American actress. She is best known for playing the roles of Allison "Ally" Rescott on Loving (1991 to 1995) and The City (1995 to 1997), Cassie Layne Winslow on Guiding Light (1997 to 2005) and Carly Corinthos (Spencer) on General Hospital (2005 to present).
Wright rarely used her given names for any purpose. She published all her novels as L. R. Wright (except in the US, where she appeared as Laurali Wright), and was known as Bunny in her personal life. She and husband John Wright had two daughters. Wright died of breast cancer in Vancouver, British Columbia on February 25, 2001.
Carly Corinthos (also Spencer) is a fictional character from General Hospital, a soap opera on the ABC network, portrayed by Laura Wright from 2005. A collaborative effort between the writers, Carly – originally played by Sarah Joy Brown from 1996 to 2001 — was introduced under executive producer Wendy Riche.
