Grove Mill winery was established in 1988 in the Marlborough wine region of New Zealand, and is now owned by California-based Foley Wines. [1]The winery was founded by group of local grape growers and wine enthusiasts who purchased the Malt house (The Mill), a historic landmark in Grovetown, Blenheim, and transformed it into a 150 tonne winery. Located on State Highway 1, just south of Blenheim, the Brancott winery was opened in 1977 and produces all of its Marlborough wines (mostly Sauvignon Blanc), and wine from Waipara vineyards as well. Many of the grapes for Montana's sparkling wines are pressed here, but secondary fermentation is carried out at the Tamaki Winery.

Blenheim Vineyards has 30 acres (12 ha) under vine. The first planting was in 2000 and the second planting was in 2007. The grapes growing on the Blenheim property include Viognier, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. Some grapes used in Blenheim wines are also sourced from other Virginia growers.

[5] Vineyard area of the grape expanded from 4,516 hectares (11,160 acres) in 2003 to 23,102 hectares (57,090 acres) in 2018, a five-fold increase in just 15 years.
Marlborough is a unitary authority, both a district and a region. Marlborough District Council is based at Blenheim, the largest town. The unitary region has a population of 52,300 (June 2024) [1]. Marlborough is known for its dry climate, the Marlborough Sounds, and Sauvignon blanc wine.
