France Bleu Breizh Izel, also known as ici Lower Brittany and ici Breizh Izel, is a public service generalist radio station located in Lower Brittany, where Breton is traditionally spoken. The station broadcasts in Finistère , parts of western Côtes-d'Armor and western Morbihan .
Ici was created as France Bleu in 2000 by a fusion of two older Radio France networks, Les locales de Radio France and Radio Bleue. The flagship station in Paris goes by the name of ici Paris Île-de-France , while the individual stations are each named for their respective coverage areas, usually a département, région, or city.
Several radio stations broadcast in the Breton language: Arvorig FM, France Bleu Armorique, France Bleu Breizh-Izel, Radio Bro Gwened, Radio Kerne, and Radio Kreiz Breizh. Television programmes in Breton are available on Brezhoweb, [33] France 3 Breizh, France 3 Iroise, TV Breizh and TV Rennes.

By 1946, the station had expanded in broadcasting significantly following the establishment of a powerful medium wave signal from Ennezat , replacing the original transmitter at Gravenoire .
On December 12, 2017, the name was changed to France Bleu Occitanie as part of a regional coverage expansion and the opening of a series of new transmitters. The Toulouse frequency was switched from 90.5 to 91.8 MHz, with the CSA granting 90.5 to 100% Radio. [1] That week, three frequencies in Auch, Pamiers and Saint-Gaudens were opened. [2]
