The 2020 Tampa Bay Vipers season was the only season for the Tampa Bay Vipers as a professional American football franchise. They played as charter members of the XFL, one of eight teams to compete in the league for the 2020 season. The Vipers played their home games at Raymond James Stadium and were led by head coach Marc Trestman.
Vipers FC were founded in 2006. In 2007, the Vipers FC started in Division 4 Saturday which was a single team competition. During the following year, 2008, the club grew to two teams that qualified for Division 3. Division 3 saw the club finish third and, due to a team leaving the competition above, saw the Vipers get promoted to Division 2.

The Alabama Vipers were a professional arena football team, that played in the Arena Football League. For most of their history, the Vipers played as the Tennessee Valley Vipers in the now-defunct af2 , the minor league for the original Arena Football League , where they won ArenaCup IX in 2008.
