Nordica is an Italian manufacturing company of winter sports products, focusing on skiing. Based in Giavera del Montello, Nordica is currently a division of Tecnica Group, after it was acquired from Benetton in 2003. [2] [3] The current range of products include skis, boots, poles, and accessories such as sportswear, gloves, and bags.
In 2002, with the acquisition of Nordica, Tecnica Group became the first world producer of ski boots. In 2003, the product range was extended further after Rollerblade, the inventor of inline skating, was acquired. The latest arrival in 2006 has been the Austrian brand Blizzard – a ski producer.
Blizzard was established in 1945 by Anton Arnsteiner (1925–2013, "der Toni"), as he returned home from the second world war, in the family joinery workshop, [1] and started producing skis besides wooden furniture.
