There is a military Dairy Town here as well as the headquarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides. Jutogh: Located 8 km (5.0 mi) centre, this army cantonment is near Tutu, an important suburb of Shimla city.

It is an eco-sensitive zone, notified by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change . [1] [2] It is home to Snow Leopard which is very rare in the region.
