Terry Knight (born Richard Terrance Knapp; April 9, 1943 [1] – November 1, 2004) [2] was an American rock and roll music producer, promoter, singer, songwriter and radio personality, who enjoyed some success in radio, modest success as a singer, but considerable success as the original manager-producer for Grand Funk Railroad and the producer for Bloodrock.
Ruth Mae Terry (born Ruth Mae McMahon, October 21, 1920 – March 11, 2016) [2] was an American singer and actress in film and television from the 1930s to the 1960s. She claimed her stage name came from Walter Winchell , who combined the names of two then-famous baseball players, Babe Ruth and Bill Terry .
Ruth was born on September 8, 1936, in a mountainside shack in Whitwell, Tennessee, to Johnny and Eva Terry, the latter of whom died at the age of 23.
