The European Championships can only be attended by skaters who compete for a European country. The Four Continents Championships can only be attended by skaters who compete for a country outside Europe.
Male skaters in pairs and ice dance may have been born between 1 January 1994 and 31 December 1997. ^ Skaters were eligible to participate at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics if they were born between 1 January 1999 and 31 December 2001, except males in pairs and ice dance, who may be born between 1 January 1997 and 31 December 2000.
ISU Judging System
Yuzuru Hanyu has scored 19 world records in international competition, the most among single skaters since the introduction of the ISU Judging System in 2003. [2] He set new highest scores seven times in the +5/-5 Grade of Execution System, [note 1] three in the short program, two in the free skating, and another two in the combined total score.

In the free skate segment, Hanyu was the dominant skater of the Olympic cycle, having set three world records as well as the highest score in all three seasons before 2017–18. [ 34 ] [ 76 ] At the 2015 NHK Trophy, he became the first skater to score above 200 points, improving Patrick Chan’s previous record by almost 20 points. [ 77 ]
