Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) is an organic compound with the formula CH 3 C 6 H 3 (NCO) 2.Two of the six possible isomers are commercially important: 2,4-TDI (CAS: 584-84-9) and 2,6-TDI (CAS: 91-08-7). 2,4-TDI is produced in the pure state, but TDI is often marketed as 80/20 and 65/35 mixtures of the 2,4 and 2,6 isomers respectively.

As of 2019, the largest producer was Wanhua Chemical Group. [5] Other major producers are Covestro, [6] BASF, Dow, Huntsman, Tosoh, Kumho Mitsui Chemicals. All major producers of MDI are members of the International Isocyanate Institute, whose aim is the promotion of the safe handling of MDI and TDI in the workplace, community and environment.

The full stack for DNA computing looks very similar to a traditional computer architecture. At the highest level, a C-like general purpose programming language is expressed using a set of chemical reaction networks (CRNs). This intermediate representation gets translated to domain-level DNA design and then implemented using a set of DNA strands.
A primary application of cheminformatics is the storage, indexing, and search of information relating to chemical compounds. [13] The efficient search of such stored information includes topics that are dealt with in computer science, such as data mining, information retrieval, information extraction , and machine learning .
Meta-Dendral is a machine learning system that receives the set of possible chemical structures and corresponding mass spectra as input, and proposes a set of rules of mass spectrometry that correlate structural features with processes that produce the mass spectrum. [4]
