Larry Fedora served as the 18th head coach of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles from 2008–2011. The Southern Miss Golden Eagles college football team represents the University of Southern Mississippi in the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference (SBC). Reed Stringer (born January 26, 1979) [1] is an American college football coach. He is the interim head football coach and general manager for the University of Southern Mississippi, positions he has held since 2024.
Prior to Southern Miss, he was the head coach at Marshall University from 2021 to 2024 and the associate head coach and running backs coach at the University of Alabama. Additionally, he had coaching stints at Mississippi State and Penn State and has gained the reputation of being one of the top recruiters in college football. [1]
