The Mid-Town Historic District is a 55-acre (22 ha) historic district in the central business district of Elizabeth, in Union County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 5, 1995, for its significance in architecture, art, commerce, community planning, politics, religion, and transportation. [1]
The design was chosen by unanimous vote of the Families and Survivors Memorial Committee, out of 320 qualified entries in the international design competition.
