Milk 'N' Cookies was an American power pop band from Long Island, New York.Active during the 1970s, a particularly fertile and creative period in the suburban New York music scene, the band had a loyal following of fans attracted to their unique sound.
The Cookies were an American R&B girl group active in two distinct lineups, the first from 1954 to 1958 which later became The Raelettes, and the second from 1961 to 1967. Several of the members of both lineups were members of the same family.
The members of the band are Alan Gregg, Bert Thomas, Richard Turner and Cy Winstanley. The self-titled album Marshmallow was mainly a solo project but had contributions from other musicians such as David Long, Bic Runga and Ron Sexsmith.
The Wailers, a band started by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer in 1963 which used to play ska and rocksteady music during the 1960s, became popular in the Caribbean, Europe and Africa since the early 1970s after they started playing reggae music. Later on, the band became very popular in the US.

In The Mutton Birds he contributed bass, vocals, keyboards and wrote a number of songs. After leaving the Mutton Birds, he acted as a producer and studio and touring musician before recording his first solo album, under the name Marshmallow in 2002. [3] Other musicians on the album included Bic Runga, Ron Sexsmith, and Andrew Claridge. [4]
