The Foundation is a non-profit-making body set up in 2006 after the cession of the Masó House to Girona City Council by the architect's nephew and his wife, the last owners of the building. The Cathedral of Saint Mary, (Catalan: Catedral de Santa Maria), is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Girona. The cathedral's interior includes the widest Gothic nave in the world, with a width of 23 metres (75 ft).
The portal, in a rather archaic style, comes probably from a previous building. It is surmounted by a rose window with a diameter of 3.5 meters. The interior features a series of side columns, with capitals having vegetable motifs, used to reinforce the central vault.
