Grove City is a borough in southeastern Mercer County, Pennsylvania, United States, located approximately 60 miles (97 km) north of Pittsburgh and 75 miles (121 km) south of Erie. At the 2020 census , the population was 7,894. [ 5 ]
In 2018, Wright County awarded $1.5 Million in TIF funds to Eagle Grove to help fund a $6 million addition to the elementary school, leading the superintendent of the Belmond–Klemme Community School District to criticize the decision, as he felt Eagle Grove was being favored over the other districts in the county. Pleasant Valley School District is a mid-sized, rural, public school district in the west end of Monroe County, Pennsylvania in the United States.The district encompasses approximately 114 square miles (300 km 2) including: Chestnuthill, Eldred, Polk, and Ross Townships, as well as communities in them, such as Brodheadsville.
In 1963 the archdiocese had 48 Catholic K-8/elementary schools in Delaware County with a total of 39,695 students, which was the highest ever enrollment. From 1971 to 2012, 20 of these schools closed, with ten of them closing from 2003 to 2012. By 2012 there were 28 Catholic K-8/elementary schools in Delaware County with a total of 8,291 students.
Due to the growth of the city of Buffalo Grove, the schools united into one in the 1960s. Along with a united district came a brand-new school. By the 1970s, the school was unable to handle the growing city and the school was torn down and the Aptakisic School replaced it. By 1981, grades K-5 began going to the new Pritchett Elementary School.
