Winchester Community Unit School District 1 is a school district in Winchester, Illinois. The district consists of two schools, Winchester Elementary School and Winchester High School . [ 2 ] As of 2021 [update] the district is responsible for educating 576 students ranging from Kindergarten to twelfth grade.
Winchester High School competes in the Western Illinois Valley Conference and is a member school in the Illinois High School Association. Their mascot is the Cougars, with school colors of black and silver. The school has 1 state championships on record in team athletics and activities, Girls Basketball in 2011 (1A). [2] [5] [6]
