Jefferson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census , the population was 582,910, [ 1 ] making it the fourth-most populous county in Colorado. The county seat is Golden , [ 2 ] and the most populous city is Lakewood .
The Magic Mountain site is an Archaic and Woodland village site in Jefferson County, Colorado dating from 4999 BC to 1000 AD. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. [1] [nb 1] The site was named for the property owner Magic Mountain Amusement Park in the late 1950s.
Florida's homestead exemption allows an exemption of 160 acres outside of a municipality and one-half an acre inside a municipality. [6] Kentucky, for 2019 and 2020, the exemption has been set at $39,300. Once it is approved, homeowners who are 65 or older do not need to reapply for the homestead exemption each year. [7]
Hildebrand Ranch is located near Littleton, Colorado. [2] In 1866 Frank and Elizabeth Hildebrand settled in Deer Creek and homesteaded on 160 acres. In the 1950s there was a plan that was authorized to control flooding in Denver but the funds never came. In 1971 the Army condemned 333.73 acres of the ranch and created Chatfield Reservoir.
