The Z50RD has the same specifications as the 1986 Honda Z50R: a 49 cc single-piston engine, three-speed transmission, and drum brakes. The distinguishing feature of the Z50RD is that most of its visible parts—including the fuel tank, fenders, exhaust, forks, frame, wheels, and handlebars—are chromed.
The original model of the Honda Z-series was the 1961 prototype Honda Z100, [1] originally produced as a children's ride at the Tama Tech Japanese amusement park. [2] It was eventually refined and put into mass production , hitting the European market in 1964.
In 1986 Honda produced a "Special Edition" all chrome dealer model of the Z50R which they called the Z50RD. The RD had similar specs, but it was almost all chrome and polished, with red grips and seat. [3] The Z50R quickly evolved into a light-weight mini racing motorcycle until 1999, when it was replaced by the Honda XR50R in 2000.
The Honda Z50A is a small motorcycle with a 49 cc (3.0 cu in) single-cylinder four-stroke overhead cam engine and a semi-automatic transmission. It was made by Honda from 1968 to 1978 and it was the second generation of the Z50 series of minibikes .
The Honda Z (marketed also as the Z600) is a two-door hatchback kei car/city car manufactured and marketed by the Honda Motor Company, from 1970 until 1974. Exports mostly ended after 1972, when the domestic market models received redesigned pillarless bodywork.
