Castle Hills is located at 29°31'18" North, 98°30'60" West (29.521762, –98.516601). [4] The town borders Uptown San Antonio to the west and is approximately seven miles (10 miles' driving distance) north of Downtown San Antonio.
Castle Hill is a 56,881 sq ft (5,284.4 m 2) mansion in Ipswich, Massachusetts, which was completed in 1928 as a summer home for Mr. and Mrs. Richard Teller Crane, Jr. It is also the name of the 165-acre (67 ha) drumlin surrounded by sea and salt marsh that the home was built atop.
Beverly Hills stopped the demolition by purchasing the mansion in 1965. [ 2 ] [ 4 ] The estate became a city park on September 16, 1971, and on April 23, 1976, was added to the National Register of Historic Places .
Northallerton Castle, located at what would become known as Castle Hills in the town, was also the site of a possible Roman camp. It was the first of two castles built in Northallerton, though the Bishop's Palace site, the later castle, was more of a fortified manor house. [1]
