Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat a number of bacterial infections. [5] This includes bone and joint infections , intra-abdominal infections, certain types of infectious diarrhea , respiratory tract infections , skin infections, typhoid fever , and urinary tract infections , among others.
