The 2024 Maltese presidential election took place on 27 March 2024. Members of the Parliament of Malta voted in an indirect election to elect the next President of Malta with former parliament speaker Myriam Spiteri Debono being the only nominee.

General elections were held in Malta on 26 March 2022 to elect all members of the House of Representatives. The Labour Party, which had governed Malta since 2013, won a second term in 2017 election under Joseph Muscat. Simon Busuttil, the leader of the opposition Nationalist Party, resigned after the 2017 election and was replaced by Adrian Delia.
