South Norfolk House, Long Stratton: Council's headquarters 1979–2023. Prior to 2023 the council was based at South Norfolk House at Cygnet Court in Long Stratton, which had been purpose-built for the council and was formally opened on 26 September 1979.

The council shares the building with South Norfolk Council as part of their joint management and staff arrangement. [22] Thorpe Lodge: Council's headquarters until 2023. Prior to 2023 the council was based at Thorpe Lodge at 1 Yarmouth Road in Thorpe St Andrew, a converted 1820s house with substantial 1970s extensions. [23]
As council leader, he chaired the Greater Norwich Local Plan (2010–2011), the Greater Norwich Growth Board, and Norfolk Public Sector Leaders Board (2009–2010, 2015–2016 and 2023–2024). He was a member of the East of England Regional Assembly (2009–2010), and the Norfolk Pension Fund.
The 1999 South Norfolk Council election took place on 6 May 1999 to elect members of South Norfolk District Council in England. [1]
