LeClaire Historic District is a historic district located in Edwardsville, Illinois. The community was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 8, 1979. [1] [2] N. O. Nelson, the owner of the Nelson Manufacturing Company, established the town between 1890 and 1895 on donated land.

IL 157 is the major north–south road through the busiest towns in Madison County – Collinsville and Edwardsville. The segment of the highway in Cahokia Heights from IL 3 to IL 13 is known as Camp Jackson Road.
In 1964, the Edwardsville to Alton segment was changed to Illinois Route 143, and Illinois 159 was run north through Edwardsville to Royal Lakes, replacing Illinois Route 112.
