DokiDoki! PreCure is the tenth anime television series in Izumi Todo and Bandai's Pretty Cure franchise, produced by Asahi Broadcasting Corporation and Toei Animation.The series follows Mana Aida and her friends as they become legendary warriors known as the Pretty Cure in order to fight against the evil Jikochu, who attempt to manipulate the hearts of innocent people.
Each series focuses on a group of teenage girls who are granted special items that allow them to transform into legendary warriors known as the Pretty Cure. With the assistance of creatures known as fairies, the Pretty Cure use their magical powers and enhanced strength to fight against evil forces who create monsters to bring misery to the Earth.
It follows Hibiki Hojo and Kanade Minamino who become Cure Melody and Cure Rhythm in order to stop the evil Mephisto who plans to cover the world in the Melody of Sorrow. The series began airing in Japan from February 6, 2011, to January 29, 2012, replacing HeartCatch PreCure! in its initial timeslot and was succeeded by Smile PreCure!.
