York County School District 3 (also known as Rock Hill Schools) is the largest of the four public school districts in York County, South Carolina, USA. The district serves students in and around the city of Rock Hill , approximately 20 miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina .
South Pointe High School is the third and newest high school in Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA. The school is part of York County School District Three ( Rock Hill Schools ). It has an enrollment of approximately 1,196 students in grades 9–12.
The school was originally associated with Ebenezer Presbyterian Church until Rock Hill public schools were established about 1888 and was leased to York County for an elementary school. The school continued until 1950 when it was deeded back to the church. It is the oldest known school building standing in York County. [2] [3]
