After passing through Aberdeen as a five-lane road, SH-39 narrows back to a two-lane road, curves to head northwest, and leaves the city limits.

The highways serve as the city limit boundary between Enid (to the west) and North Enid (to the east). About 1 + 1 ⁄ 2 miles (2.4 km) south of the SH-45 junction, US-64 splits away from the other two highways at an interchange where US-64 continues south and US-60 / US-81 take a southwesterly tack. Near the east end of Guthrie, SH-33 once again becomes a four-lane highway before intersecting I-35 at mile 162.9. At mile 163.1, SH-105 to Tryon cuts off to the right as SH-33 turns to the left. The historic SH-33 turns off to the right at mile 169.2, although the old alignment is not marked other than a sign pointing to the town of Langston .
