Rising Sun is a wayside area that has a National Park Service [5] campground, [6] a camp store and gift shop, [7] picnic area, restaurant, [8] as well as a motel and guest cabins [7] [9] which are managed by the park's concessionaire, Xanterra Parks & Resorts. [10]
O'Haver Lake is a reservoir in Chaffee County, Colorado [1] in the San Isabel National Forest. It is located about two miles from U.S. Highway 50 west of Poncha Pass. The lake and adjacent campground are just off Forest Road 200, also known as Marshall Pass Road. The pass is about twelve miles up the road from the lake.
The first Hotel on the site was the Gilman, which opened for business on New Year's Eve 1880. The Gilman was extended in 1882/3 and then taken over by the Union Pacific's hotel division in 1885. They improved the building, rebuilding and extending it. In November 1896 the building burned to the ground.

Sweetwater Lake State Park is a proposed Colorado State Park in Garfield County, Colorado in the United States, approximately 18 miles (29 km) north of the town of Dotsero. The site occupies 488 acres (197 ha) and is located within the White River National Forest in the Flat Tops Wilderness Area . [ 1 ]
The hotel was founded in 1917 by Anglo-American brothers Charles Mace (combat and commercial photographer, 1889-1973), and Gordon Mace, and their families. [3] The Inn is known especially two reasons: the hotel was named for the popular mystery novel, play and films Seven Keys to Baldpate by Earl Derr Biggers, and was eventually accepted to be the "true" Baldpate by the author.
