Bình Dương is a province of Vietnam.It is located in the Southeast region of the country and the Southern Key Economic Zone, bordering Bình Phước province to the north, Ho Chi Minh City (Sài Gòn) to the south and southwest, Tây Ninh province to the west, and Đồng Nai province to the east.
Thuận An is a city of Bình Dương province in the Southeast region of Vietnam. It is situated about 18 kilometres (11 mi) northeast of the centre of Ho Chi Minh City. [1] As of November 3rd, 2021 the city had a population of 618,984. [2] Thuận An covers an area of 83.7 km².
The district has two town-level (thị trấn) administrative units, Ma Lâm (population 13,391) and Phú Long (population 14,042), and 15 rural communes (xã): Đa Mi where the first dam is located, Đông Tiến, La Dạ, Đông Giang, Thuận Hòa, Hàm Phú, Thuận Minh, Hàm Liêm, Hàm Hiệp, Hàm Chính, Hàm Trí, Hồng Liêm, Hồng Sơn, Hàm Thắng and Hàm Đức.
