Taff Trail cycle route sign The Taff Trail ( Welsh : Taith Taf ) is a walking and cycle path that runs for 55 miles (89 km) [ 1 ] between Cardiff Bay and Brecon in Wales . It is so named because it follows the course of the River Taff .
The Black Fork Mountain Wilderness Area is located in the U.S. states of Arkansas and Oklahoma. Created by an act of Congress in 1984, the wilderness covers an area of 13,139 acres (53 km²). The Arkansas portion contains 8,430 acres (34.1 km 2) and the Oklahoma portion contains 5,140 acres (20.8 km 2).
The parks are mostly on flat ground as they form part of the floodplain of the River Taff, although the ground does rise on the western edge of Llandaff Fields. [4] To the south of Pontcanna Fields lies Sophia Gardens and the Sophia Gardens cricket ground. [4] The parkland is lined with avenues of trees and large grassed areas.
The valley is on the A470 road which runs along the eponymous valley of the River Tarell. [1] [2]The Taff Trail runs through the valley. The administrative area of the community extends over a wide area of sparsely populated land, and extends south beyond the watershed to include the highest part of the River Taff and the Beacons Reservoir.
Backpacking and camping are allowed in the entire wilderness area, but no pre-made trails exist and, because of the secluded nature of the terrain, caution is advised. Hikers will occasionally run onto old roads, farms, and cabins from before the area was designated as a wilderness area that are returning to nature.
