Pikes Peak National Cemetery is a 374-acre (151-hectare) Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) national cemetery located in El Paso County, Colorado. The cemetery serves the burial needs of veterans, their spouses and eligible family members. When fully developed, the cemetery will have 95,000 graves and columbarian niches. [1] [2]
The route leaves Pike National Forest a few miles east of resuming state highway status and continues northeast with increasing intersections as it approaches Sedalia. After crossing State Highway 105 (Perry Park Road), the route turns north and is named Manhart Street for a few blocks before reaching its northern terminus at U.S. Highway 85.

The Pikes Peak Highway is a 19-mile (31 km) toll road that runs from Cascade, Colorado to the summit of Pikes Peak in El Paso County, at an altitude of 14,115 feet (4,302 m). [1] It is at least partially open year-round, up to the altitude where snow removal becomes excessively difficult.
It is the fourth-highest paved road in the state after Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway, Pikes Peak Highway, and Trail Ridge Road. The pass is closed seasonally due to heavy snowfall, typically from around October until sometime in May. When open, the pass can be accessed from Buena Vista to the east by following Chaffee County Road 306.
