The 2022 Tour de France Femmes (officially 2022 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift) was the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes, a professional women's cycling race which took place from 24 to 31 July. It was the 16th event in the 2022 UCI Women's World Tour. The Tour consisted of 8 stages, covering a distance of 1,033 kilometres (642 mi).
144 riders across 24 six-member teams took part in the 2022 Tour de France Femmes. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] Twenty-five nationalities took part, with the largest percentage being Dutch (20% of the peloton). [ 3 ] 109 riders finished the event.

In June 2021, ASO announced that they would launch a new women's stage race, Tour de France Femmes. The first edition [5] would take place over 8 days, following the 2022 Tour de France in July 2022.
Van Vleuten has won all three of women's cycling Grand Tours equivalents – winning the Giro Donne in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023, winning the inaugural Tour de France Femmes in 2022 and winning La Vuelta Femenina in 2023.
